The Un-Lock Down: Recovering a New Normal

Many communities are ending the pandemic lockdown mandates now. State and National statistics indicate the need for these measures has passed. How effective the more severe lockdowns were in different regions is still controversial.

As a nation we have developed innovative and remembered traditional remedies to help get through this. Terrible losses have have been experienced and public health lessons have been learned.

This article is to help the many people whose physical health and life quality has been damaged by the lockdown procedures rather than a viral illness.

These 4 will b discussed,

  1. Masking

  2. Social Distancing

  3. Hand Washing

  4. Isolation From Others

1. Masking:

This technique of restricting airborne droplets from infecting another with a virus has never been demonstrated to be effective. And it has been proven to restrict oxygen levels in those populations most in need Oxygen to maintain normal brain and immune system activity. A virus is too small to care about your mask cloth, but bacteria love the moist warm cellulose. Bacterial pneumonia has been the biggest killer in this pandemic, as well as in 1918.

When you are not contagious or diagnosed with an infection by a medical professional, do not harm yourself by wearing a mask. Healthy lungs and physical fitness is more protective for those around you,

Get out and move, breathe and work to make our lives and family better. Show your smiles and encouragement to others again.

2. Social Distancing:

That never worked in the first place, and families are stronger everywhere, if they are less distanced. Humans are social animals. Pull us away from each other at all ages and see the depression, suicide and lonliness break down mental and then physical health. After being distanced, get back together with family and friends however you can. Or make new ones.

3. Hand Washing:

Sanitation is a good thing and soap and water have cured diseases and plagues. Use when needed reasonably.  Frequent alcohol cleansers will strip the skin of moisture and destroy the protective biome and acid mantle of healthy skin. That damage opens your immune system to bad things you don’t want to get through it.

An occasional rinse with Cider Vinegar or an Aloe Vera Gel would protect that primary barrier for your immune system.  No need for obsession and damaging the skin with antibiotics and cleansers.

4. Isolation From Others:

See #2 above. Let’s be clear. Isolation is a punishment. Exile, and shunning are some of the most terrible punishments humans have dreamed up for each other, second only to violence and combat.  Let’s do try to isolate from everyone mean enough to tell us to isolate from our family and friends. All animals care for each other when injured or suffering.  After this lockdown period of social trauma, get back with whoever you have isolated from, and see if they are still alive.  If so, try to learn to know and care for them again, while you still can.

Now let’s get to that new normal. We humans have normal lifetimes with all kinds of good and bad times. Some are more lucky, others more blessed, and most of us are in between somewhere at different times. If we are lucky enough to learn from the bad times we usually hope to extend the good ones. The lockdowns were bad times for many of us. Just like the old normal, let’s learn and reverse those into unlocked good times with each other from now on. Our house pets would expect no less.
