Homeopathic Remedies
for ADD/ADHD

The following homeopathic remedies have been found helpful in treating Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in both children and adults.  These are gentle and safe medicines, but for best results seek out and work with practitioners who are skilled at dosing and case management.

• Tarantula hisp:  Extreme restlessness.  Vertigo.  Twitching and jerking of extremities.  Loves lively music and bright colors.

• Stramonium:  Violent behavior;  swearing.  Could fear water, dogs, or darkness.  Tics, stuttering, and seizures.

• Veratrum album:  Ceaseless activity.  Pokes, touches, and hugs inappropriately.  Loves cold drinks, lemon, and salt.  Skin is pale, blue, and cold.

• Tuberculinum:  A Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde personality.  Malicious.  Chronic respiratory problems.  Easily gets colds.

• Medorrhinum:  Hurried, restless, amd mind-wandering.  Loves oranges and ice.  Melancholy.  Dwarfed, stunted children.  Often trembling.  Use high potency, but not often.

• Barytra carbonica:  Severe shyness.  Hides behind parents around strangers.  Frequent colds.  Recurrent coughs.

• Lycopodium:  Bossy, especially with younger children.  Dyslexia.  Performance anxiety.  Loves sweets.  Afraid to be alone.

To treat physical symptoms, especially if they are currently or were recently present, start with lower potencies such as 30C or 30X or below and use daily for a week or so.  For deeper and longer-lasting conditions, 200C up to 1M given infrequently may work better.  Check with a trained homeopathic doctor if you are unfamiliar with this system.

Please consider these natural medicines and treatments before resorting to pharmaceutical drugs, for both children and adults.  Amphetamines or tranquilizers are not what you want to have in the nervous system of people you care about, or have to be around!
