Diabetics should not use this product due to the
arginine, which in large enough amounts can precipitate
the release of growth hormone. And growth hormone
can increase the level of a factor (IGF-1) that may
interfere with the efficacy of insulin in the body.
On the other hand, smaller amounts of arginine may
increase the ability of the pancreas to release insulin
more efficiently. For those with diabetes or
borderline diabetes, therefore, we recommend working
with a healthcare professional when using arginine.
