Green tea contains antioxidant polyphenols.
Major studies have found a
strong link between oral consumption of tea extracts,
which contain polyphenols, and protection against
cancers of the skin, stomach, esophagus, duodenum,
pancreas, liver, breast, and colon.
In addition, green tea has been found to completely
inhibit the growth and adherence of the oral bacteria,
which cause gingivitis, a leading cause of periodontal
disease and tooth loss.
Green tea polyphenols also have been found to be
as rich in antioxidant power as BHT.
Green Tea Extract, 40 Percent, "full
spectrum," is standardized to a minimum of 40
percent
polyphenols and 32 percent catechins (16 percent EGCg)
using a pure water extraction method. (Dried tea
leaves contain about 10% polyphenols.)
500 mg dissolves in hot water to make a great-tasting
cup of tea with the polyphenol protection of more than 4
cups of tea, with only 5-7 percent caffeine.
Pesticide-free. Provides a mild lift, yet creates
a calming effect and a good mood. Tip: Try 3
parts Xylitol to 1 part 40 Percent Green Tea, mix dry,
then add water.
